🍭 Meet Sugar — She’s Earned Her Sweet Name 🍭
Sugar has been part of the TGPR family for a while now, and if there’s one thing we’ve learned about this beautiful girl, it’s that she is worth the wait. ❤️
Sugar didn’t have the easiest start in life. She spent her early years living outside and came to us unsure of people and the world around her. Trust didn’t come easily — it had to be earned.
But lately, this girl has been BLOOMING!
Sugar has spent nearly four weeks in a professional board and train program focused on building her confidence, trust, and comfort in new situations, and she has come SO FAR.
We’re seeing a whole new side of her. She’s starting to play, bouncing around the yard, following her trainers and seeking more interaction with the people around her. She’s also enjoying field trips and recently did wonderfully exploring Lowe’s, meeting new people and taking in all the sights and smells.
Sugar gets along with other dogs and is comfortable sharing her space with them. More than anything, she is learning that people, new places and new experiences can be safe — and even fun.
Sugar will need the right adopter: someone calm, patient and consistent who understands that trust is something she builds over time. Give her that opportunity, and there is an incredibly special dog waiting for you.
Sugar may not be the dog for every home, but for the right person, she is an absolute GEM. 💎
She has already overcome so much, and every week we see a little more of the sweet, playful girl she was always meant to be.
Sugar doesn’t need someone to feel sorry for her. She needs someone to believe in her. ❤️🐾
