Meet Lewis! ❤️🐾
Sweet Lewis is now almost 7 months old, and this precious Great Pyrenees puppy has already overcome so much in his young life!
Lewis and his brother were found wandering the streets of Montgomery, TX, before a kind person stepped in and brought them to safety. Thankfully, they found their way to TGPR, where their second chance at a wonderful life began.
Lewis was diagnosed with a severe lateral luxating patella in his right rear leg, a condition that made walking difficult for this sweet boy. After careful evaluation by an orthopedic specialist, it was determined that Lewis would need surgery to help correct his knee and give him the best chance at a happy, active future.
We're thrilled to share that Lewis has now undergone his first surgery, and he is doing WONDERFULLY! ❤️ He's recovering beautifully, already beginning to put weight on his leg, and making great progress. He still has a road to recovery ahead of him and may require an additional corrective procedure as he continues to grow, but we're so encouraged by how well he's doing!
And can we just talk about what an absolute LOVE this boy is?! 🥰 Despite everything he's been through, Lewis is one of the sweetest, most affectionate puppies you could ever meet. He's a gentle, loving boy with so much happiness to share and a heart as big as his fluffy paws!
For now, Lewis is taking things easy while his leg heals, getting plenty of TLC, and charming everyone around him. We can't wait for the day when this precious boy can run, play, and enjoy all the adventures that every puppy deserves.
