Xena

Meet Xena, located in the DFW area.

Xena was given to someone as a “gift.” While the intentions may have been good, the reality was that her new person simply didn’t have the time or ability to care for such an important little gift.

Thankfully, Xena’s story didn’t end there. She is now safe and sound with a very experienced Great Pyrenees foster who understands exactly what a growing puppy needs — lots of love, socialization, guidance, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to learn how to be the very best Pyr she can be.

Xena is a confident, happy, and enthusiastic puppy. She’s housebroken, crate trained, good on leash, and a great car rider. She loves toys, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is friendly with children. Because she’s still an active, energetic puppy, children 6 and older would be the best fit for her right now.

We’d also love to see Xena placed with an older, well-mannered dog who can help teach her boundaries, channel her puppy enthusiasm, and occasionally remind her, “Hey kid, settle down!”

Because puppies aren’t gifts that can be put on a shelf. They are a commitment, a responsibility, and a whole lot of work… wrapped up in one adorable, fluffy package.

Xena is getting everything she needs to grow into a happy, confident, well-socialized girl — and we can’t wait to watch her blossom!
