Meet Astra 💕 — The Sweetest Mama
Say hello to Astra, a beautiful Great Pyrenees mama who came to Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue with her 10 tiny babies, born in mid-August. 🐾❤️
Astra was surrendered to TGPR when her family experienced some major life changes. While we know surrendering a dog is never easy, we are incredibly grateful they reached out so Astra and her babies could come into rescue together and get the care they need.
And what a girl she is!
Astra has the sweetest disposition and the kind of gentle, loving personality that makes everyone who meets her fall in love. She gives the Pyr Paw like a champ, happily flops over for belly rubs, and absolutely loves being around her people. 🥰
She also happens to be a total social butterfly! Astra is currently living in a foster home with six other dogs, and she gets along beautifully with every single one of them. She has the kind of easygoing, wonderful temperament that makes her such a joy to have around.
Right now, her most important job is being the best mama she can be to her 10 babies. She is doing exactly that — nurturing them, keeping them safe, and making sure her little pups have the best possible start in life. ❤️
Once her puppies are healthy, happy and weaned, Astra will be ready to start the next chapter of her life.
And we have a feeling that chapter is going to be AMAZING.
Astra is going to make an incredible family companion. She is gentle, affectionate, dog-friendly, loving, and just an all-around wonderful girl. She deserves a family who will adore her as much as we already do and show her that her forever home is out there waiting for her. 💗
For now, she gets to be Mama Astra. But someday soon, she gets to simply be Astra — someone's beloved girl, professional belly-rub recipient, Pyr Paw expert, and best friend. 🐾💕
